Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Somaguild (“Somaguild,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our practitioner directory at somaguild.com and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account or claim a practitioner profile, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details through our identity provider.
- Profile and listing information. Practitioners may provide business details, credentials, modalities, photos, and contact information for display in the directory.
- Location you provide. When you search, we use the location you enter to show nearby practitioners. We store your most recent location in your browser so you don’t have to re-enter it.
- Usage and device data. Our servers automatically log standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages you view, for security and to operate the Service.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the directory and its search features.
- To authenticate users and let practitioners manage their listings.
- To respond to your inquiries and provide support.
- To protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use strictly necessary browser storage to keep the Service working — for example, remembering your most recent search location and your cookie choices. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies and advertising cookies. Advertising cookies may be set by third-party advertising partners to show and measure ads, including across other sites. Analytics and advertising cookies are off until you opt in, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in our footer. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
How we share information
We share information only:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (such as cloud hosting and authentication providers), under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- With advertising partners, only if you opt into advertising cookies, to show and measure ads. Under some laws (such as California’s CCPA/CPRA) this may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” of personal information.
- Publicly, for information practitioners choose to display in their directory listing.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of others.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and the EEA/UK (GDPR) have additional rights, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them. To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising, reject advertising cookies using the “Cookie settings” link in our footer (or choose “Reject all”). To make any other request, contact us at hello@somaguild.com.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
